This page explains what we collect on this Korean course site and why. We keep it short and plain, because you should be able to read it without a lawyer.
Your email
We only have your email if you typed it in. We use it to send you the lessons and news about this course. We do not sell it and we do not pass it to advertisers. You can ask us to delete it at any time and we will.
Your learning progress
Your quiz scores and your writing practice stay in your own browser. They are never sent to our servers. If you clear your browser data, that progress is gone and we have no copy of it.
How the site is used
We measure which pages people open and where they stop, so we can fix the parts that do not work. We use PostHog and Google Analytics for this. PostHog also records how the pages are used, which helps us see where people get stuck. Everything you type is hidden from that recording, so your email never appears in it.
If you subscribe, we attach your email to your record in PostHog so we can see how a subscriber found us. If you would rather not be measured at all, your browser has a do not track setting and ad blockers stop these tools from loading.
Where the data lives
Subscriber emails sit in our database on Amazon Web Services in Seoul. Usage data sits with PostHog in the United States and with Google Analytics. We keep subscriber emails until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Your choices
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. You can also write to us and we will remove you. You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
